🔷 ONE BIG THING
Boise State men’s basketball will return to the court for its first repeat conference game of the season as the team takes on Colorado State tonight at 7 p.m. The last time the two teams faced off was at The X where the Broncos came away with the memorable 65-58 win.
Boise State is coming off a big win over Air Force where the team scored 94 points and the team averaged 1.67 points per possession, the most of any DI team in a conference game in the last six years. The Broncos will enter the game against the Rams as the last team in the Mountain West with a perfect road record. At 4-0 away from The X, Boise State has beaten San Jose State, Nevada, Fresno State and New Mexico.
📈 STOCK UP
🔼 Weekly Honors. Boise State women’s basketball’s Tatum Thompson also picked up a weekly award after being named the Mountain West Player of the Week. The sophomore scored a career-high 21 points to lead the Broncos past Fresno State, 60-50, on Wednesday night. She finished 6-of-10 from the field, 2-of-2 from beyond the arc, and 7-of-11 from the free throw line. Thompson also matched her career high with seven rebounds. Thompson becomes the first Bronco since the 2022-23 season to earn the weekly award.
🔼 Weekly Honors Part II. Following his performance against No. 19 New Mexico, Max Rice earned his second Mountain West Player of the Week award of his collegiate career. It is also the first time this season a Bronco has won the weekly award.
Rice averaged 23.5 points per game as Boise State went 2-0 on the week. He set career highs in points (35), 3-pointers (7) and field goals (12) in the 86-78 win over the Lobos. The win was only the fourth at The Pit for the Broncos and the fourth win on the road against a ranked opponent.
🤔 BLUE TURF TRIVIA
