🔷 ONE BIG THING

Boise State women’s basketball is moving on! The Broncos came out on top in a back-and-forth matchup against Wyoming, 62-54, to punch their ticket to the semifinals in the 2024 Mountain West Championship. Mya Hansen caught fire for the Blue and Orange and scored a game-high 20 points including 60% shooting from beyond the arc. Natalie Pasco added 10 points while Tatum Thompson sparked the offense off the bench with nine points and three rebounds.

Tonight, the Broncos will have a chance to reach the title game against San Diego State at 8:30 p.m. in Las Vegas, Nev.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Double Trouble. Boise State redshirt senior Alycia Flores and freshman Sophia Knight were each honored with conference awards following their performances this weekend. Flores was selected as the MW Player of the Week after batting .625 with a double, home run and 11 RBI. Knight batted .529 and went 4-for-4 in stolen bases. It is Knight's second freshman of the week and third weekly MW honor.

🔼 Milestone Achieved. Boise State beach volleyball’s Emilia Guerra Acuña recorded her 50th career win this weekend at the Queen’s Cup. The junior went 4-3 in Hawaii alongside her partner, Ava Anderson, helping the Broncos finish second place in the tournament.

🔼 In The Spotlight. Kayli Tran is a first-year graduate assistant working in the Bronco Athletic Association (BAA), the fundraising arm of the athletic department. Tran is responsible for sport-specific engagement, such as sending out newsletters to people who were previously involved with the different programs – such as alumni, past donors and season ticket holders – while sharing what their donations are specifically being used for.
