🔷 ONE BIG THING

Boise State women's basketball had four student-athletes named to the College Sports Communicators 2023-24 Academic All-District Team. Mya Hansen, Abby Muse, Mary Kay Naro and Natalie Pasco were all recognized. It is the third time Naro has received the honor, the second for Muse, and the first time for both Hansen and Pasco.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Stacking Up. For the second time this year, Boise State gymnast Emma Loyim has been named the Ford Student-Athlete of the Week. Loyim collected two individual victories on beam (9.950) and floor (9.900) at the inaugural Mountain West Championship where the Broncos were named the 2024 MW Gymnastics Champions. In her career, Loyim has tallied nine wins including four on both beam and floor.

🔼 Conference Clash. Boise State softball will welcome San Jose State to Huber Field at Dona Larsen Park this weekend for a three-game conference clash. The Broncos head into the matchup 21-13 on the season coming off the first MW games of the year. The Blue and Orange have nearly evened the all-time series by taking eight of the last ten games against the Spartans.

🔼 Found A Way. Boise State men's tennis recorded its second win of the year over a Pac-12 team, defeating the Washington Huskies in a tightly contested 4-3 match. After securing the doubles point, Idriss Haddouch, Sam Sippel and James Van Herzeele each collected singles wins to help push the Broncos to the team’s 12th win of the season.

🗣️ "A gritty team win against a talented UW team in tough conditions. It was great to get the doubles point and start the right way” - Luke Shields, head coach

🔼 By The Books. For the second consecutive season, Tyson Degenhart and Max Rice were named to the CSC Academic All-District team. Degenhart, studying business, earned a 3.95 GPA while averaging a team-high 16.7 points per game on 50% shooting from the field. Rice, majoring in interdisciplinary studies, finished his Boise State career with a 3.55 GPA and scored 401 points this season starting in all 33 games.

🔼 Double Dual. Boise State women’s tennis will return home as it hosts New Mexico and Air Force for a pair of matches at Appleton Tennis Center. The Broncos will face the Lobos today at noon and will then take on the Falcons on Saturday at 11 a.m. Last week, Shauna Heffernan was the most recent Bronco to join the 10-win club in the victory over Colorado State, bringing her win percentage up to 41.7%.
