🔷 ONE BIG THING

🔼 Idaho Sand. Boise State beach volleyball will stay in Treasure Valley this weekend to host the Boise State Beach Classic. The Broncos welcome Oregon and UC Davis to their home courts, playing each team once on both days for a total of four matches. The Broncos enter the tournament 19-8 and 6-1 within Southland Conference play. Following Saturday’s match against UC Davis, six seniors will be recognized for their time representing the Blue and Orange.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Pardon The Interruption. Bronco softball got through two innings in the team’s first game against San Jose State before Mother Nature got involved and suspended play. Sydney Groves sent a ball over the center field fence to extend the lead to 2-0 before the game came to a pause. Play will be resumed today at 3 p.m.

🔼 Close One. Boise State women's tennis fell 4-2 to New Mexico at Boas Indoor Tennis Center. Ariadna Briones Ginesta started singles strong for the Broncos on court six, evening the score 1-1 after a straight-set victory, and Shauna Heffernan followed her lead on court four with a three-set win. Heffernan’s win marked her 40th career singles win in her collegiate career. Boise State will turn around and host Air Force on Saturday, March 30 at 11 a.m.

🔼 Double Time. Boise State track and field will compete in both the Stanford Invitational and the Mike Fanelli Track Classic in California over the weekend. The meets will be the second weekend in a row the Broncos will compete in outdoor events with runner Caleb Stamper looking to keep his momentum going following two podium finishes in the 800m.

🤔 BLUE TURF TRIVIA

Catching K’s. Boise State softball has a high-powered offense, but the defense has played an integral role in the Broncos’ 21 wins so far this season.
