🔷 ONE BIG THING

For the first time since the 2013-14 season, Boise State men’s golf will host the Battle of Idaho dual meet from April 15-16 at Hillcrest Country Club in Boise. Facing off against Idaho, the Broncos will play 36 holes on the first day, followed by the final 18 on Tuesday. Alex Talbot enters the field following his performance at the Gaucho Invitational with a 5-under 67 – the best round of his career – and ended the tournament in a tie for 13th.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 All-Time Finish. In Boise State beach volleyball’s final tournament of the regular season, the Broncos wrapped up with a third-place finish at the Alki Beach Invitational. The team finished 1-2 in pool play on Friday to earn a third seed in bracket play. Boise State fell to No. 15 Georgia State in the first round before defeating Oregon to finish third, earning the 28th victory of the season — a new program record.

🗣️ "This team is really special and we've had a special season. We still have some things in front of us that we want to achieve. I'm really proud of what our team has accomplished so far and I'm excited to see what we can accomplish this next weekend." - Allison Voigt, head coach

🔼 Going The Distance. Three Broncos etched their names in the program's top-five outdoor performance lists to highlight a split meet weekend for the Boise State track and field team. Brian Kiprotich took a fourth-place finish in the men's invite 10,000m, Tom Graham-Marr notched a third-place finish for heat four of the men's invite 5,000m and Ollie Newman ran a personal best of 3:43.93 in the men's 1,500m. In total, the Broncos established 34 career bests on the weekend.

🔼 Senior Day Success. Boise State men’s tennis rolled past Nevada, 4-0, on Senior Day for the sixth undefeated home season since 1996 and the first since 2012. The 57th-ranked Broncos capped off its 2-0 weekend with a sweep thanks to singles wins from John Chin, Idriss Haddouch and Jan Lucca Marquardt. Now 15-10 on the season, Boise State will close out the regular season on the road against Air Force and New Mexico later this week.

🔼 Head To Head. Boise State softball dropped its series against Fresno State, but picked up a 10-5 win on Saturday. Alycia Flores was 3-for-4 on the game with a home run and three RBI, and Hollie Farmer followed it up, going 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI. The Broncos will return to the field next weekend to face Nevada for a three-game series.

🔼 In The Spotlight. First-year graduate assistant, Maggie Cross, is working in the sports performance, health & wellness (SPHW) department in Boise State Athletics, specifically in the insurance office, while pursuing a degree in the Master of Athletic Leadership (MAL) program.

🗣️ "Through my internship, I had heard they were looking to hire a GA in the insurance office and after interviewing with Syringa and applying for the MAL, I was accepted. The MAL and this assistantship have both given me the opportunity to get more experience within athletics and the medical field." - Maggie Cross
