The second annual Best of the Blue awards were presented earlier this week to celebrate and recognize the commitment to excellence that student-athletes and staff devote to all 18 sports programs at Boise State. Four of the awards recognized top female and male talent and leadership and two categories celebrated specific team achievements.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Postseason Preview. Boise State men’s tennis, fresh off its Mountain West Regular Season Co-Championship, will compete in the MW tournament this week in Las Vegas. The No. 2 seed Broncos will open against No. 7 seed Air Force in the opening round today at 6 p.m. The No. 61-ranked Broncos are coming off a road sweep last week, defeating Air Force 4-2, followed by a 4-0 win at New Mexico which secured a piece of the championship.

🔼 Playoff Time. Boise State women’s tennis will begin postseason play fresh off a regular season finale win as the No. 9 seed. The Broncos will face off against No. 8 seed San Jose State in the first round of the MW Women’s Tennis Championship today at 11 a.m. The Broncos will look to repeat the success from the March 15 match where Boise State came out on top against the Spartans, 4-2.

🔼 In-State Battle. Boise State softball will hit the road to take on Idaho State in a Battle of the Gem State later today at 4 p.m. The Broncos enter the matchup at 28-20 and are coming into the game off the heels of a Mountain West series win over Nevada. The Blue and Orange lead the all-time series 22-6 which includes a perfect 9-0 record on the road.

Blue Collar. The BroncoLife's "Blue Collar" Award is presented to both a female and male student-athlete who demonstrates a strong work ethic on the field and in the classroom with a commitment to setting the highest of all standards for a student-athlete at Boise State.
