🔷 ONE BIG THING

Boise State softball outfielder Sophia Knight has been named to the 2024 TUCCI/NFCA D1 Freshman of the Year Top 25 List. Knight is currently batting .411 at the plate with a .465 on-base percentage and .959 OPS. In Mountain West play, she has recorded a 1.000 fielding percentage. She has set Boise State freshman records with 44 runs and 15 stolen bases (in 15 attempts) and her hit total has tied the school freshman mark.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Still Dancing. Boise State men's tennis continued its quest for back-to-back Mountain West tournament championships with a 4-1 victory over New Mexico. The Lobos pulled to within 3-1, but Sam Sippel turned in the match-clinching victory with his 7-6(6), 6-3 win at the top court. The win secured the Broncos their seventh appearance in the MW Championship match on Friday night.

🔼 Par For The Course. Boise State men's golf alum Hugo Townsend has been named to the Mountain West's 25^th Season Team. Townsend ended his career as a Bronco as the only two-time All-American in program history after earning third-team honors in 2020-21 and honorable mention honors in 2021-22. Townsend finished his Boise State career following the 2021-22 season and led the Broncos to two NCAA Regional appearances.

🔼 Double Trouble. Boise State track and field will split up this weekend, with some Broncos headed to the Fresno State Invitational while the rest compete in the Steve Scott Invitational. The Blue and Orange are coming off two weeks of rest where three Broncos nabbed top-five finishes, including Hanna Ackermann who took home gold in the women’s 3,000m steeplechase.
