Good morning! Congratulations to Tyler McFarland and Jocelyn Stephens for being recognized as Boise State's Top Ten Scholars.

McFarland has served as a featured photographer for numerous events and sports competitions while attending Boise State and will start full-time in the Athletic Department on May 6. Stephens is a two-time All-Mountain West First Team selection for the Bronco soccer team.

🔷 ONE BIG THING

It’s postseason time for Boise State gymnastics as the team heads to Arkansas to face off against BYU in the NCAA Regional Championships starting tomorrow at 1 p.m. The Broncos have qualified for regionals in each of the last 16 seasons. The Blue and Orange made history on March 23 after winning the inaugural Mountain West Championship with a score of 196.550. Senior Emma Loyim collected two individual victories, becoming the ninth Bronco to win multiple conference crowns in the same season.

The Broncos’ highest finish at the regional championships is third, having done so on five different occasions. Last year, the Broncos posted their highest score at an NCAA regional competition in program history with their 196.700 against BYU in the first round.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Double Trouble. Bronco softball is gearing up for its midweek doubleheader against UNLV as they take on the Rebels at noon and 2:30 p.m. today at Huber Field at Dona Larsen Park. The Broncos start the week with a 23-14 record after taking its series against San Jose State. The Blue and Orange will then cap off the week with two games against San Diego State on Saturday and Sunday.

🔼 Keeping The Streak. The Broncos matched the longest winning streak in program history after taking down College of Idaho, 5-0, for the team’s eighth-straight victory. Sierra Land notched her 40th career win from the top court, and the duo of Sharli O'Neil and Elli Wolthuis picked up their 22nd win from court five on the year, combining to break the record for the most wins from court five in a single season in program history. 

🔼 Final Countdown. The Boise State women’s golf team begins the final month of the regular season at the Cowgirl Classic in Maricopa, Ariz. The Broncos’ Hannah Lim led Boise State with a 23rd-place finish at last year’s Cowgirl Classic, securing her fourth top-25 finish in six tournaments. In 2022, Franca Polla was the tournament runner-up, shooting a 215 (-1) to notch the best finish of her career.

🔼 Spring Tour. Boise State Athletics will host a tour through the Gem State with events in Idaho Falls, Twin Falls, Nampa, Coeur d'Alene, and Boise to celebrate the success of Bronco sports programs and provide Bronco Nation an opportunity to meet football head coach Spencer Danielson, Each public event will include a Q&A with coach Danielson and other Bronco coaches, student-athletes, and administrators. Fans who register in advance will be eligible for promotional giveaways including season tickets and signed memorabilia.
