🔷 ONE BIG THING

Boise State softball rallied past Fresno State 5-4 before suffering a 9-1 defeat to San Diego State, Thursday in the Mountain West Softball Championship. In the day's first game, the No. 5-seeded Broncos won an eight-inning thriller after scoring three in the top of the seventh capitalized by Alycia Flores’ two-run home run to tie the game. In the next inning, Sophia Knight knocked in an RBI single and Jenna Bloom finished the job from the circle to earn the win.

In the second game of the day, the Broncos fell behind early, and despite tacking on a run in the second inning, San Diego State went on to post a five-inning mercy rule win. However, Boise State is not done yet as the Broncos will play UNLV in an elimination game today at 3 p.m. If the Broncos advance, they will play either Nevada or San Diego State at 6 p.m.
