🔷 ONE BIG THING

Broncos Sam Sippel and Jip van Assendelft will move on to compete after being selected for the 2024 NCAA Men's Tennis National Singles and Doubles Championships. Sippel was selected to compete in both singles and doubles with van Assendelft as his doubles partner.

🗣️ "Sam and Jip in doubles took advantage of a great schedule and played some great tennis early in the season. The tougher the competition, the better they played. I'm so happy for [Sam] to reach this goal and think he has a great opportunity to do damage at the NCAAs." - Luke Shields, head coach

Sippel's selection as one of 64 invitees nationally marks a significant milestone in Boise State's tennis history. The German native is the 12th Bronco invited to the national singles tournament in program history.

🔼 Championship Tee. After his terrific showing at the Mountain West Championship, Boise State men’s golf’s Cole Rueck was selected to compete in the Stanford Regional in the NCAA Tournament. Rueck qualified for the national competition by way of his victory at the conference championship after shooting 7-under par. This marks the ninth time Boise State will send an individual to an NCAA Regional, and the first since 2017.

🔼 One Final Time. Boise State softball will wrap up the regular season with a three-game series against Colorado State, beginning today at 6 p.m. The Broncos are 4-1 versus the Rams under head coach Justin Shults, scoring 55 runs in 29 offensive innings, and the team has won seven straight in Fort Collins, dating back to 2016. The winner of the series could finish the regular season as high as the No. 3 seed in the MW Championship, and the loser of the series will be the No. 6 seed.

🔼 Go Time. Boise State men’s tennis is entering its 20th NCAA Championship as the Mountain West regular season co-champions and MW tournament champions with a record of 20-10. The 57th-ranked Broncos are traveling to Tucson, Ariz., for the opening round where the team will face No. 11 Arizona at 2 p.m. on Friday. The winner will take on the winner of the No. 24 Auburn versus No. 39 Pepperdine contest on Saturday at 2 p.m.

🔼 Top Ten. Boise State soccer alum Jocelyn Stevens was honored as a Top Ten Scholar — one of the highest academic honors granted to a Boise State University undergraduate student. As a standout athlete, Steven’s talent on the soccer field earned her two Mountain West First Team Defender accolades and Boise State Defensive MVP three times. In addition to her athletic achievements, Jocelyn excelled in academics and was honored as the Physical Chemistry Student of the Year in 2023.
