Boise State track and field is headed to the NCAA West Preliminary Rounds in Fayetteville, Ark., for the four-day meet beginning Wednesday, May 22. The last time the Broncos were out on the track, three long-distance runners went home with medalist honors at the Mountain West Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Austen Apperson and Ollie Newman garnered silver medals in the menโ€™s 3,000-meter steeplechase and menโ€™s 1,500-meter, respectively, and Emily Jobes placed third in the womenโ€™s 3,000-meter steeplechase.

๐Ÿ”ผ Career Cap. Boise State's Sam Sippel's collegiate career ended as the Bronco fell in the round of 64 at the 2024 NCAA Men's Tennis National Singles Championship. The native of Germany battled his opponent in a two-set contest, falling 6-3, 6-4. Sippel trailed 5-2 in the second before rallying to close within 5-4 but could not complete the comeback to force a third set.

He finished his Boise State career with a 36-27 overall record in singles, 17-15 in duals while playing at No. 1 singles and 2-3 at No. 2 singles.

๐Ÿ”ผ Career Cap. Boise Stateโ€™s Anna Ferguson will be representing Trinidad and Tobago this week at the Pan American Championships in Colombia. Ferguson finished her sophomore season with a personal-best 9.950 on beam to claim a win and earn Mountain West Specialist of the Week honors.
