Five Broncos were selected to Mountain West all-conference teams including Sophia Knight and Taylor Caudill who were named to the first team. Alycia Flores, Mykenzie Hanna and Sydney Groves each received second-team honors. Caudill, the Boise State record holder for career strikeouts, was named to the first team for the second straight year.

🔼 Feeling Fresh. Highlighting the conference awards is Sophia Knight who was named the Mountain West Freshman of the Year. Knight leads the Mountain West with a .411 batting average and 79 hits. Her hit total is tied for fourth nationally and leads NCAA freshmen. She has set Boise State freshman records for hits, runs (51) and stolen bases (18).

🔼 Playoff Time. The tournament host Boise State Broncos will kick off the postseason on their home field against No. 5-seeded Fresno State today at 12:30 p.m. The Broncos ended the regular season with 33 wins — the sixth season in the last seven years Boise State softball has won 30+ games. Earlier this year, Fresno State won two of three in Boise with the Broncos taking game two of the series. Boise State holds an 11-10 advantage in games played at home.

🔼 Coming Through. With two stops down, the Bronco Stampede will resume its trip through the Gem State with three more stops next week. The inaugural event will allow Bronco Nation an opportunity to celebrate the successes of Boise State Athletics, as well as a chance to meet student-athletes and coaches.
