Overcoming the odds, Boise State football capped off their improbable season hoisting the Mountain West Championship trophy after defeating UNLV 44-20. Ashton Jeanty, the conference’s Offensive Player of the Year, provided a standout performance with 153 yards and a touchdown.

On defense, the Broncos came out on top in the turnover margin, forcing three takeaways. One of those takeaways was a fumble recovered by Alexander Teubner, who was voted the game's Defensive MVP. He finished the game with 10 total tackles. That fumble recovery was courtesy of a forced fumble by Ahmed Hassanein, an All-MW First-Team selection. Despite a broken hand forcing him to wield a club, Andrew Simpson recorded his second interception of the season. A'Marion McCoy also had an interception, his team-high third of the season.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Good Work, Alexander. Boise State safety Alexander Teubner was one of 178 student-athletes recognized as a nominee for the 2024 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team. An Honorable Mention All-Mountain West selection last season, Teubner recorded 10 tackles, a TFL and a forced fumble in the MW Championship, earning Defensive MVP and helping the Broncos to their fifth MW title.

Academically, Teubner boasts a collection of accolades, including CSC Academic All-District, Academic All-MW, MW Scholar-Athlete and was named to the National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society.

🔼 All About Academics. Both Boise State volleyball and beach volleyball were honored by the AVCA for their success in the classroom during the 2023-24 academic year.

🏐Volleyball combined for a team GPA of 3.508 during the 2023-24 year. The team was one of 68 programs – out of 344 NCAA DI teams – to be recognized by the AVCA and one of two from the Mountain West. Other national academic accolades came last fall when three Broncos, Paige Bartsch, Bella McGirr, and Noelani Helm, earned CSC Academic All-District recognition.

🏖️ The 19 members of the 2023-24 beach volleyball roster combined for a 3.68 cumulative GPA for the year. The program has earned recognition from the AVCA in all six years of head coach Allison Voigt's tenure and seven of the last eight seasons.

🔼 Hometown Team. Boise State programs and student-athletes found ways to make a difference for those in the community and truly leaned into becoming more than an athlete. From women’s basketball’s Chinma Njoku being selected to give a commencement speech at graduation, to the community impact from Bronco student-athletes with projects such as Boise Rewild Project, SAAC and many others.
