🔷 COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF

1 day until kickoff, Bronco Nation!

After months of offseason fanfare from Bronco Nation and hard work by coaches and student-athletes, Boise State is poised to kick off the 2024 season with a Week One matchup against Georgia Southern at 2 p.m. on Saturday afternoon. Head coach Spencer Danielson will take the reins for his first full season with the Broncos on the road in Statesboro, Ga.

The Broncos will look to earn a Week 1 win for the first time since 2020 as the team enters the matchup with a 56-30-1 all-time mark in season openers. Georgia Southern is coming off a 6-7 campaign in 2023 (3-5 Sun Belt) that ended with five straight losses including a 41-21 loss against Ohio in the Myrtle Beach Bowl.

🔼 Starting With A Classic. Boise State volleyball opens the 2024 campaign on the road this weekend with three matches at the Cactus Classic in Tucson, Ariz. The Broncos will face Arizona, Tennessee State, and VCU at the University of Arizona’s campus this Friday through Sunday. The Broncos return 12 veterans from the 2023 season including 11 letterwinners and one redshirt freshman.

🔼 Another Won. Boise State forward Avery McBride scored two goals and had one assist to guide the Broncos to a 4-0 victory over UC Riverside. Boise State is on a three-match win streak to start the season after recording its second win in program history over UC Riverside. Jillian Anderson scored her first career goal in her first career start, and Morgan Padour scored her second goal of the season on the first penalty kick of her career.

🔼 On Your Marks. Boise State cross country is set to begin its 2024 season today in Bozeman, Mont., at the MSU Bobcat Twilight. The competition marks the first race under head coach Pat McCurry, who enters his first season as the Broncos head coach.

Despite the long odds, Boise State's then-interim head coach Spencer Danielson achieved a feat never seen before in college football. Danielson made history by becoming the first interim head coach to win a conference championship game when the Broncos defeated UNLV, 44-20.
