🔼 Add Another Accolade. The nation’s top rusher, Boise State’s Ashton Jeanty, was named the Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week for the second time in as many weeks after a standout performance against the Oregon Ducks. No. 2 rushed for 192 yards and three touchdowns on the road — extending his season totals to 459 rushing yards and nine touchdowns. Jeanty’s nine scores this year are the most of any college running back through two games since Texas’ Ricky Williams did so in the 1998 season.

Boise State, which is receiving votes in both major polls, is off this week before starting a three-game homestand, which begins when Portland State visits The Blue on Saturday, Sept. 21.

🔼 Rounding Into Form. After a slow start to the Golfweek Fall Challenge, Boise State women’s golf climbed three spots up the leaderboard and sit in a tie for eighth place heading into the final day of the tournament. The Broncos carded a score of 1-over par as a team, the fifth-best total of any team on the day. Jillian Hui leads the way for the Blue and Orange, sitting in a tie for 24th after shooting 1-under par with four birdies.

🔼 Here For The Long Haul. Boise State men’s tennis head coach Luke Shields has agreed to a contract extension through 2027, announced today by athletic director Jeramiah Dickey. In his first two seasons in charge of the Broncos, he has guided the team to the 2024 MW regular-season title, back-to-back MW Tournament championships, and two NCAA Championship appearances. His team has gone a combined 41-19 overall with two 20-plus win seasons.

🔼 Bringing The Boom. Boise State volleyball brought the energy over the weekend at the Elleysn Invitational in Missoula, Montana. Check out some of the action-packed moments from a couple of the team’s wins.

🔼 In Memoriam. Former Boise State linebacker Steve Svitak, the first Bronco to be selected in the NFL Draft following the program's transition to four-year competition, is mourned by Bronco Nation following his recent passing. During his entire collegiate career, the former All-American helped guide Boise State to a 28-10-1 (.731) record with a 17-3 (.850) mark at the four-year level.
