📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Undefeated. In the Broncos’ last non-conference game of the season, the team picked up a tie against Oregon to finish undefeated against all four Pac-12 opponents. MW Offensive Player of the Week Carly Cross netted the team’s lone goal on the night for her fifth of the season. Goalkeeper Genevieve Crenshaw assisted the goal for the Broncos marking the first of her career and the first assist by a goalkeeper since 2009.

Next up, Broncos soccer begins conference play at Colorado College on Thursday, Sept. 21, at 7 p.m. MT in Colorado Springs, Colo.

🔼 Tough Battle. In a hard fought match, Bronco volleyball came up short 3-0 against LMU on the team’s opening day of the Boise State classic. Paige Bartsch recorded a team-high 14 kills and Noelani Helm got her third double-double of the season with 31 assists and 10 digs.

🔼 Another Round. Bronco men’s golf is headed to the Little Apple for the team’s second tournament of the year at the Kansas State Wildcat Invitational. In the season opener, Boise State finished sixth as a team but had two top-10 finishers, including the low Bronco of the tournament, Will O’Connor who finished 9-under par.

The Broncos will tee off against seven other schools with its lineup that includes O’Connor, Cole Rueck, Boise State’s other top-10 finisher, Gavyn Knight, Luke Cunningham, and Drew Reinke.

🔼 Fast Start. Boise State women’s tennis went to work in their second tournament of the fall season. The Broncos’ doubles teams picked up five wins in their first two rounds, including two wins each from both Pauline Ernstberger and Shauna Hefferman, and Nicole Discenza and Lorelyz Marruffo.

🤔 BLUE TURF TRIVIA

Broncos in the Sand. Boise State beach volleyball has added to its fantastic coaching staff (more on that in a bit) to further improve its team heading into the 2023-24 season. Playing at neutral sites is fun, but playing at home is always better, especially if you’re wearing the Blue and Orange.

Our question today—do you know what the Broncos’ home record was during the 2022-23 season?

🔷 ONE BIG THING

Broncos beach volleyball will have a new face on the coaching staff this fall as head coach Allison Voigt announced the addition of assistant coach Jayelin Lombard.

🗣️ "I've been amazed at how welcoming and communicative everyone has been. This program is trending in a really exciting direction and I'm excited to help this team continue to grow and achieve its goals." - Assistant coach Jayelin Lombard

After playing collegiate beach volleyball for five years at Cal Poly, coach Lombard joins the team after helping lead her squad to three-straight Big West titles. Coach Lombard and the rest of the team will tip off the action this fall on Oct. 7th in the Alki Pairs Tournament in Seattle, WA.
