🔼 Making A Statement. A Heisman-worthy performance from Ashton Jeanty propelled Boise State football past Georgia Southern in a 56-45 victory. The win marks the program's first season-opening victory since 2020 and the first road victory of the season since 2019.

The junior running back notched program records in touchdowns (six) and rushing yards (267), leading a rushing attack that bolstered a total of 371 yards and seven touchdowns. Quarterback Maddux Madsen added a career-high 280 yards in the air as the Broncos (1-0) totaled 651 yards of offense.

🔼 How Sweep It Is. Boise State's volleyball team played its best match of the opening weekend in a 3-0 sweep over the VCU Rams on the final day of the Cactus Classic. Paige Bartsch led the a balanced offensive attack with her 12th-consecutive match in double-digit kills – dating back to 2023 – on a team-high 12 against the Rams. Annie Kaminski and Kiki Remensperger were both named to the All-Cactus Classic Team for their performances over the weekend.

🗣️ "Going 2-1 with two sweeps was a good way to start the season. We still have a lot to work on before next week's matches in Montana, but overall, I am very pleased with our performance this weekend and can't wait to get back in the gym." - Shawn Garus, head coach

🔼 Starting Strong. The Boise State women's cross country team opened the season with a strong second-place finish, just three points shy of Montana State, while the men's team earned third at the MSU Bobcat Twilight. Emily Jobes (17:26.8) and Kaiya Robertson (17:31.7) pushed the pace in the women's 5k, finishing second and third, respectively. The women concluded the race with five in the top 10, helping them take second place with 29 points.
