🔷 ONE BIG THING
After rushing for a career-high 205 yards and adding two touchdowns in the process for a Bronco football win on Friday night, Ashton Jeanty was named with MW Offensive Player of the Week.
Jeanty accounted for 12 of the Broncos’ 19 first downs and added four receptions for 49 yards on top of his explosive run game. He became the first Boise State running back to eclipse 200 yards on the ground since 2018, and so far this season, the all-purpose back is averaging 173 yards, the most in the nation.

🔼 More Awards. Adding on to the list of student-athletes with weekly awards, Paige Bartsch was named the Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week for her record-breaking offensive showing.
In the match against Colorado State, Bartsch recorded seven aces for the Blue and Orange, a program-record in the rally scoring era. In addition to her record, she accumulated 54 kills in two matches including a career-high 30 kills against Wyoming.
🔼 Senior Strong. Boise State men’s tennis came away with four wins in its first four doubles matches at the ITA Bedford Cup In The Mountains with each doubles team reaching the main draw quarterfinals. Caden Moortgat and Jan Lucca Marquardt made an appearance in the semifinal round, but came up short. In a short turnaround, the Broncos will get ready for the ITA Mountain Region Championships starting on Sept. 28.
🔼 Mirror Image. On the final day of the Barb Chandler Classic, Boise State found themselves in an all-Bronco championship in the top flight of competition. Pauline Ernstberger and Shauna Heffernan came out on top to secure a second-straight title for the Broncos, and the team accumulated 23 wins across both singles and doubles play.
Heffernan, Bhaki Shah and Ella Piron all posted undefeated records in singles combining for seven wins. “All these matches and wins taught us many valuable lessons where we really got to see where our player identities got to shine,” said women’s tennis head coach Beck Roghaar.
🔼 Number One Dog. Broncos’ men’s basketball transfer O’Mar Stanley is signifying the transformation of his game, and his school, with a number change. This season, Stanley will don the No. 1, a number that he knows he can’t take lightly. Watch this interview with O’Mar Stanley and why he says that the No. 1 is best suited for him.
