🔷 ONE BIG THING
Boise State Athletics is embarking on a journey to find the next head coach of its storied football program. Bronco Nation is invited to follow along as director of athletics Jeramiah Dickey leads the search committee through the process of finding the right person to guide the Broncos into the next era of college football, including the expanded College Football Playoff beginning next season.
Boise State opened the match slowly, falling to Fresno State by 11 at 25-14. Up by one at 13-12, Fresno State broke the set open by out-scoring the Broncos 12-2 down the stretch to close it out.
The second set saw the Broncos take an 18-14 lead, only to fall victim to a Bulldogs rally that saw Fresno State take the lead at 23-22, then win it in extra points 26-24.
The third frame was similar to the first, with Fresno State rallying past the Broncos late to earn the win 25-23 and clinch the match.
For the season, Paige Bartsch set two school records in the match—the first was the all-time mark for kills in a season with 530, and the second was the rally-scoring era record for service aces in a season with 52.
She moved into fourth place in the MW for points in a season with 616.5, extending her school record in the process, and also moved into fifth place for career points at Boise State with 1,300.
